National Education Day is celebrated to commemorate the Birth Anniversary of India’s first education minister Maulana Abul Kalam Azad. He was a key educationist who played an important role in developing the education system in independent India. National Education Day was celebrated with great verve and enthusiasm in our Bijoy Pal Memorial B. Ed. College. As a part of the celebration, various activities like Poem, Speech, Drama, Debate were organized for students through online mode.

The theme for 2020 Vigilance Awareness Week is Vigilant India, Prosperous India (Satark Bharat, Samriddh Bharat). The awareness week campaign affirms our commitment to the promotion of integrity. Bijoy Pal Memorial B. Ed. College observed the Vigilance Awareness Week to promote integrity. First of all, an Integrity Pledge was taken where the Principal and teachers took pledge. College organized several online activities like drama, poster making, speech, poem, essay writing etc. with the aim of spreading awareness and sensitizing the public about ways and means to fight corrupt practices.
14TH FOUNDATION DAY CELEBRATION

The Foundation Day of Bijoy Pal Memorial College was celebrated on 4th September 2020 with great Zeal and enthusiasm .Foundation Day is an important mile stone in the history of any Institution. Every year on this day we show our gratitude to those who contributed their Wisdom and courage for the establishment of this Institution. Without their vision and efforts we would not have had the opportunity to serve the society. Due to Corona Pandemic -19 we celebrated it virtually. Our talented students presented mesmerizing cultural events – such as songs, dance and drama. On the occasion Mr MANTU CHAKRABORTY One of the founding member spoke about the achievements of this Institution. The Celebration ended with the motivational speech of Miss Simpy Burnwal faculty member of P.N Das Academy (D.El.Ed College )
74th Independence Day Celebration

15th August is an important day in Indian History. On this day, we gained Independence. It was the day of Independence against injustice, against slavery. We salute our freedom fighters for their more than 100 years sacrifices, to make us to breathe in free India. This year the scenario was totally different from every year. We celebrated it under the cloud and threat of COVID-19. It was a challenging period for us. Our Corona Warriors from Asansol and Burnpur areas, Smt. Nasrin Sulatan (Officer in-charge of Women Police Station), Mr. Arun Kumar Pal (DI of Schools, Paschim Bardhman), Dr. Saha (renowned psychiatrist from Asansol) and staff members from Hirapur Police station were present over there as a guest of honour to grace the event and to motivate the future leaders of our country.
NAVIN BARAN (FRESHERS` WELCOME)
Every year on an auspicious day, the college commences its academic session with freshers` welcome, which is observed solemnly in a beautiful environment with offering of rose buds to the newly admitted trainees.
RABINDRA PRAYAN DIBAS (BAISH-E SHRABAN)
Homage is paid to Gurudev Rabindranath on this day for his passing away through rendering of songs and dances and recitation. Also a few words are spoken about the poet’s literary contribution in the sphere of education and nationalism.
INDEPENDENCE DAY - 15th AUGUST
Independence Day is observed by hoisting the tricolour and singing the national anthem and other patriotic songs. The trainees as well as the teachers offer homage to the martyrs and pledge to serve the motherland through their activities.
TEACHERS` DAY - 5th SEPTEMBER
Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan is respectfully remembered and Teachers` Day is observed in order to make ourselves aware of our responsibilities and fresh oath is taken to serve the nation through this noble profession.
SHARADIA UTSAV
The pleasant advent of autumn with all her natural glories creates a ripple in the mind of the people which has its reflection in the activities of sweetness and light. The trainees observe the session of festivals with their melodious voice and rhythmic stepping.
WALL MAGAZINE - SRIJANI
Wall magazine is the mirror of the college. It shows the artistic and creative faculty of the students who express their thoughts and ideas, dream and desires through literary efforts.
EDUCATIONAL OUTREACH PROGRAMME
‘To see is to believe’. History becomes living and geography begins to breathe when we visit places. This year our visit to Delhi Agra Mathura Vrindaban and previous year’s visit to Nalanda etc. extended and widened our knowledge and broadened our outlook, relaxing our stress and strain after a prolonged study session.
NATIONAL YOUTH DAY - 12th JANUARY
The birth day of Swami Vivekananda is observed as Yuva Divas offering tribute to the great embodiment of human excellence and pioneer of man making education by taking out a procession, arranging programmes and offering garlands.
NETAJI BIRTHDAY - 23rd JANUARY
Every year in a solemn programme through hoisting of tricolour and chanting Jai Hind, homage is paid to the great patriot and he is remembered through discussion of his life by the participants.
REPUBLIC DAY - 26th JANUARY
Republic day is observed in a befitting manner by hoisting the National Flag and offering flowers to the great sons of the country. And the Indian constitution is honoured.
SARASWATI PUJA
The Goddess of learning is worshipped with zeal and jubilation by the trainees and some festive programmes are also arranged. Distribution of Prasad among the trainees becomes a joyful part.
BLOOD DONATION CAMP
Organized by the college and collaborated by Blood Donor Association and SD Hospital our trainees Teachers participated in social service by donating blood for the injured and the ailing persons which is a noble humanitarian task. It was well attended too.
